EVENING COURSES ~ SATURDAY CLASSES
Welcome
to Northcote, New Zealand. If you have recently arrived here, or if you
have been here for some time, one of our ESOL courses will be right for
you. We offer courses to help you settle in and to learn those
English words & phrases that are unique to New Zealand. Meet other
migrants from all around the world and make new friends while improving
your English skills.
These
courses are partly funded by the NZ Government for New Zealand
Residents over 16 years of age. Non residents may enrol, but are
required to pay a surcharge of 50% in addition to the course fee unless
they hold a Work Visa and IRD number. (Please bring evidence of your
status when you enrol.)
NOTE:
If you have pre-purchased English tuition through Immigration New
Zealand’s English for Migrants Programme run by TEC (Tertiary Education
Commission) you can use this to pay for courses here. Just bring your
passport and a copy of your EFM Agreement with you when you come to
enrol.

English Pronunciation
Pronunciation is one of the hardest aspects of English to master. In
this class we will look at various techniques to improve pronunciation
and speech clarity. We will also introduce the IPA (International
Phonetic Alphabet) so you can continue to refine your speech after the
course has finished. (Level: Pre-Intermediate +)
